Culver¹s Fundraiser Supports Honor Flight

Four Fort Wayne Culver¹s as well as Culvers in Warsaw will host a fundraiser for Honor Flight. Culvers will donate 20% of sales from the entire day, 10 a.m. 10 p.m. to Honor Flight Northeast Indiana.

The Culver¹s five franchises are owned by three independent groups. Bob and Sandy Giesler own Dupont and Washington Center locations and were the first to host the fundraiser last summer. In the fall, the other franchise owners joined the event and combined to raise over $12,000 in one day between store sales and donations at the stores. Maureen Hamilton is the owner of the West Jefferson Culvers; Matt and Melyssa Lennington co-own the Stellhorn and Warsaw locations.

Owner Bob Giesler states ³We could not be happier partnering with Honor Flight and trying to repay, in some small way, those veterans who have contributed so much to our country.²

Ninety-five percent of all donations go directly towards the veterans¹ trips. Honor Flight NE Indiana, Inc. is a volunteer, nonprofit, 501(c)3 organization. It is Honor Flight Northeast Indiana¹s mission to serve those who would like to have the opportunity to see their memorials that were built in their honor.

Culver¹s employees always greet all patrons with ³Welcome to Delicious² upon entering the store and we at Honor Flight Northeast Indiana think their generosity is beyond delicious², said board member Jerry Harris.
