Largest Priestly Ordination Class In 31 Years To Be Ordained June 6th

June 2, 2015 On Saturday, June 6th, Bishop Kevin C. Rhoades will ordain four men to the priesthood during an 11:00 AM Mass at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Fort Wayne. This is the largest ordination class for the Diocese of Fort Wayne-South Bend since 1984.

The four deacons to be ordained priests are Royce Gregerson from Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish, Fort Wayne; William Meininger from Saint Pius X Parish, Granger; Jonathan Norton from Our Lady of Good Hope Parish, Fort Wayne; and Matthew Soberalski from Saint Vincent de Paul Parish, Fort Wayne. Deacons Meininger, Norton, and Soberalski completed their priestly formation at Mount Saint Mary’s Seminary in Emmitsburg, Maryland. Deacon Gregerson completed his seminary formation at the North American College in Rome, Italy.

Bishop Rhoades expressed his joy regarding the upcoming ordination: “I am excited to ordain these four faith-filled young men to the priesthood. Thanks to the prayers of so many of the faithful in our diocese, we are blessed with a significant increase in the number of priestly vocations. This is the first of several ordination classes of three or more men who will serve as priests in our diocese.”
