Fort Wayne Medical Oncology and Hematology introduces financing program

Fort Wayne Medical Oncology and Hematology introduces
financing program to help patients shrink medical costs

Fort Wayne Medical Oncology and Hematology (FWMOH) is introducing the CarePayment financing program so patients can pay their medical bills over time. CarePayment features 25 months of interest-free financing for patients who stay current with their co-payments. No interest charges accrue to add to what patients owe, and there are no hidden fees or impact on consumer credit scores. Patients can manage their accounts in a variety of ways, including automatic payments, mobile and online account access, and paper or electronic statements.

High deductibles, co-pays, and other out-of-pocket costs are adding to the financial burden many people face, and FWMOH is joining more than a dozen other medical facilities across Indiana that have teamed up with CarePayment to remove financial barriers to care.

Now with nine locations, FWMOH was the first cancer treatment center in northeast Indiana and still the only cancer care group in the area to offer access to clinical trials.

“Research and breakthroughs aside, the reality is there can be a lot of expense associated with cancer treatment,” says Dan Konow, chief operating officer for FWMOH. “The CarePayment program is a tremendous benefit for our community and completely in line with how we do business, putting the needs of our patients first. We care for the whole person, and that includes providing for emotional and financial health, too.”
