Did you know that here in Northeast Indiana
· The American Red Cross of Northeast Indiana chapter assisted 230 families affected by house fires last year
· Our chapter¹s Health and Safety instructors taught 14,466 people vital lifesaving skills making our neighborhoods safer places to live · As part of the Red Cross Home Fire Campaign, our chapter has reached more than 115 homes and installed 62 smoke detectors
· More than 80,000 donors have given nearly 150,000 units of lifesaving blood through the Indiana-Ohio Blood Services Region
We couldn¹t be there to help without the generous support of the community. That¹s why the American Red Cross is kicking off its first ³All in One Day² fundraising campaign on June 2, 2015. Red Cross Giving Day is a 24-hour national fundraising campaign supporting the work of the Red Cross in Northeast Indiana and in communities across the country each and every day.
The theme of Giving Day is ³All In One Day² because the Red Cross is ³all in² every day to help people get back on their feet. The Red Cross is asking everyone to make a donation online on Tuesday, June 2 to help ensure that help is available wherever and whenever people need it.
³We¹re also recruiting volunteer social ambassadors to build the social media movement through actively sharing Giving Day information using the allin1day hashtag,² said Katherine Mac Aulay, Executive Director, American Red Cross of Northeast Indiana. ³For this campaign to be effective, we really need the public¹s support.²
To take part in Giving Day and support the work of the American Red Cross, please visit redcross.org/givingday. All in one day, working together, we can bring help and hope to people when they need it most.
³On June 2nd, we have 24 hours to turn compassion into action,² said Mac Aulay. ³On this one day, please donate to the Red Cross so we can be there to help people in need.
