Waynedale Elementary students will tour the downtown Allen County Public Library from 9:30-11:30 a.m. to learn more about the library and see where the book they published will soon be housed. Working with Study Connection volunteer Angela Hudson, the students wrote a book titled “Kindergarten A to Z.” This book was written for in-coming kindergartners about things they might want to know about kindergarten. The students were the authors and illustrators of this book. Angela assisted with the design and layout and arranged for the book to be print. While at the library, the students will have an author party where they will receive special recognition, a copy of the book and a certificate for their accomplishments. Their teacher, principal and parents are all invited to attend. In addition to books for the students, the teacher, Waynedale Elementary’s library and the downtown library will receive a copy. The library has also ordered 13 additional copies of the book to make it available at each library branch.
