Post Halloween Roundup: Senior Community Opens Doors to Public

Fort Wayne, IN – Lutheran Life Villages, a premiere provider of retirement living communities, enjoyed a very successful Halloween trick or treating party at their Pine Valley location that involved nearly 100 children from the neighborhood and 200 residents, family and staff.

What started out as a family friendly resident Halloween party at the Pine Valley campus, turned into door to door trick or treating for local mini ghouls and goblins when Lutheran Life Villages realized that the children in Fort Wayne needed a dry place to trick or treat. The residents of the senior living community were in for the action, dressed in costume and provided the costumed children with candy at each resident’s apartment door.

Eva Teeters, Director of Social Services and Activities states, “We had such a successful party, and when we saw the opportunity to open the trick or treating festivities to the public because of the rainy weather, we were happy to fill the need.”
