Fort Wayne Children’s Choir presents Harvest Concert – collaborating with Community Harvest Food Bank

We encourage arts patrons to celebrate the crisp cool season of autumn with the fresh and clear voices of the Fort Wayne Children’s Choir. The Fort Wayne Children’s Choir is proud to announce their upcoming fall concert as a part of the organization’s 41st season. The Choir will perform the annual Harvest Concert on Saturday, November 16, at 7:30pm at First Presbyterian Church, 300 W. Wayne, downtown Fort Wayne.

The Treble Choir, Concert Choir, Youth Chorale, and Chamber Singers are performing for this evening of wonderful music. These choirs are comprised of singers ages 12-18 in the intermediate and advanced ensembles of the organization. The concert will include wonderful works by Benjamin Britten, Eleanor Daley, and Rollo Dillworth, among others.

In addition to the works the children will be presenting, the singers of the Fort Wayne Children’s Choir are partnering with the Community Harvest Food Bank to ensure that children in our community are fed. The “Children for Children” campaign is going on for the first two weeks of November, in which FWCC singers are collecting food for the CHFB’s Backpack program. The FWCC singers are excited to help children in the community during this season of harvest. The campaign will culminate at the Harvest Concert. Concert patrons are encouraged to take part in the collection by bringing non-perishable foods to the concert to include with the singer’s donation to the CHFB.

Tickets are available by calling the Larson Box Office at IPFW at 260.481.6555 or www.ipfw.edu/tickets <http://www.ipfw.edu/tickets> . Tickets will also be available at the door. Tickets are $8 for Adults, $5 for students and seniors.
