Sweetwater Hires 10 New Employees

Fort Wayne, IN, Sweetwater, the third-largest music instrument and pro-audio retailer in the U.S., recently hired ten new employees, including six new Sales Engineers, bringing total employment to more than 570, including more than 200 Sales Engineers. Seven of the nine new employees have moved to Fort Wayne from outside Indiana.

Sales Engineer Clint Bransteter holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Telecommunications from Ball State and, since 2005, has been a sales assistant at Sweetwater.

Sales Engineer Jeff Bohan is a Fort Wayne native, having gone to Northrop High School. He attended both Indiana University and Ivy Tech while in Bloomington, and worked for five years in the book publishing business, also in Bloomington.

Sales Engineer Ed Burwell is from Convoy, Ohio, and attended Bowling Green University for music education in the early 80’s, then went on the road as a bluegrass banjo player. He then received a B.S. in Accounting from Ohio State University and has been working as a CPA for the past 14 years.

Sales Engineer Michael DeFraties grew up in Springfield, Illinois , where he earned an Associate’s Degree in History from Lincoln Land Community College. He also has attended The Recording Workshop in Chillicothe, Ohio. He recently served as Assistant Music Director for Faith Family Christian Church in Rushville, Illinois.

Sales Engineer Jason Kovach is from Canton, Ohio, and is a recent graduate of Kent State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Technology.

Sales Engineer Devin Cunningham is originally from the Butler, Pennsylvania, area where he attended Butler Community College and studied electronics. He has worked for Bose as a demonstration specialist. He has been involved in home and commercial studio recording for many years.

Sales Assistant Michele Jones recently moved here from Georgia. She worked for an advertising agency for 3 years as a communications specialist in New York and then moved to Florida and worked as a chemical buyer for nine years.

Sales Assistant Alli Richardson lived in CO, then moved to Michigan to work in office administration before moving to Fort Wayne.

Service Specialist Colin Williamson grew up in Ohio, then moved to Fort Wayne to pursue his bachelor degree. Colin has an Associates of Arts from Edison State Community College and a Bachelor of Science in Music Technology from St. Francis.

Karin Dees, of Fort Wayne, has joined the kitchen staff of Sweetwater¹s Downbeat Diner. She recently worked for Concordia Lutheran High School.
