Museum Hosts FREE Trunk or Treat Event

(AUBURN) – The Auburn Cord Duesenberg Automobile Museum is once again calling all cowboys, ghouls, witches, clowns, princesses and other costumed kids ages 14 years old and under to “Trunk or Treat” at the museum on Sunday, October 27 from 1 – 3 p.m. This FREE event is open to the public, but parents must be accompanied by their children. Last year, this popular event brought over 1,000 people to the museum.

“Trunk or Treat” is a popular museum event designed to give parents a safe place to take their children “Trick or Treating.” Similar to children going house to house to get candy treats, they go car to car and “Trunk or Treat” with museum volunteers and staff members at select cars throughout the museum. The museum galleries will be open during the event providing the public with an opportunity to see what the museum has to offer while bringing family to the free event. “This is a great opportunity for parents and kids to enjoy the museum. We hope this is a fun way to introduce the museum and the rich automotive history of Auburn, Indiana, to children as well as create some fun family memories” said Kendra Klink, Chief Operating Officer for the museum. “At the Auburn Cord Duesenberg Automobile Museum, we realize that kids are our future, and we want them to think of the museum as a life-long place of fun and entertainment. Having events like ‘Trunk or Treat’ allows the museum to make that connection,” stated Klink. An activity room, sponsored by Taylor Rental Party Plus, will be available for the kids to enjoy as well. “There will be something here for every age group. Bring your kids and their friends to this free event. Come for the candy and stay for the cars.” said Klink.
