Free Breakfast and Golf for Veterans on Veteran’s Day

Fort Wayne, Ind—In appreciation of those who have served our country in the military, the Fort Wayne Parks & Recreation Department invites veterans to enjoy breakfast and a round of golf for free on Veteran’s Day!

The Veterans Breakfast is 8:30 – 10:30 am, Monday, November 11 at the Community Center, 233 W. Main Street. Breakfast will be served at 8:30. This breakfast is open to all veterans, but preregistration is required by Wednesday, November 6. Veterans should call 427-6460 to reserve their place. Entertainment will be provided by the American Legion Band and the Honor Flight of Northeast Indiana. Sponsored by American Senior Communities.

Shoaff, McMillen and Foster Park Golf Courses will remain open one extra day this year, on November 11, in order to allow veterans to play golf for free. Those currently active in the military may also play for free on November 11. Please show your military ID when you arrive to play. All City golf courses will close for the season at sundown on November 11.
