CANI Welcomes New AmeriCorps Members

CANI (Community Action of Northeast Indiana) is pleased to announce the addition of 10 new CANI Corps members to the agency.

The new members include Shayne Abrahams, Kelsey Barta, Andrea Cassel, Tracee Cooley, Angionette Rickets, Denaris Green, Dan Nae Lewis, Maria Marquez-Llamas, Alexzandria McCowan, and Kayla Smith-Gonzalez.

CANI Corps is an AmeriCorps program organized and operated by CANI. Over the next year, these individuals will be serving in four focus areas: Early Childhood Education, Financial Literacy, Healthy Futures, and Outreach. Each CANI Corps member will complete 1,700 hours of service while gaining professional experience and making a difference in the community.
This is the second year that CANI has operated the CANI Corps program. In addition to CANI, members are serving at Lutheran Social Services and the Fort Wayne Housing Authority.
