American Red Cross partners with Haunted Cave and Haunted Hotel to give blood donors a

Halloween Blood Drive Scheduled Oct. 14-19 in Fort Wayne

The Halloween Blood Drive will take place at American Red Cross Fort Wayne donor centers Monday, Oct. 14 through Saturday, Oct. 19.

“We hope to attract new blood donors as well as our faithful givers through this promotion,” said Sharyn Whitman, CEO for the Indiana-Ohio Blood Services Region of the American Red Cross. “We appreciate the partnership of the Haunted Cave and Haunted Hotel and are excited to offer a ticket to each donor during this special blood drive,” Whitman continued.

Strong donor turnout is needed to help replenish low blood supplies at the end of summer and boost supplies before the upcoming holiday season. Donors of all blood types are currently needed to donate blood, particularly individuals with type O negative blood, known as the universal blood type.

You can help save lives this Halloween by participating in the annual Halloween Blood Drive. All who come to donate will receive one free admission to either the Haunted Cave (Fort Wayne) or the Haunted Hotel (Huntington) and a candy treat bag.
